The kids just keep getting older

Olivia is 21 months old now. Next thing you know her birthday will be rolling around! That would be her second birthday and in case you were wondering, yes we have begun the terrible two's. I though we had started it a few months ago, but that was nothing compared to the last few weeks! This girl has thrown tantrums about almost everything from eating to her shoes.

At the same time she is learning to repeat most everything we say. My current favorites are:
"I don't know" (and yes she says it in the appropriate context), "Appleta" (which would be applesauce) and "Yerkel" (which would be circle). It's hard not to say the things they way she says them because it's so darn cute, but then she will grow up all her life asking for appleta.





Emilia is 4 months old now! She is generally a pretty happy baby giving me lots of smiles and even laughs. She tries so hard to sit up on her own. She arches her back in everything now from the bouncy seats to the Bumbo seat, so she is trying hard to fall out of things too!

Olivia gives her the best hugs and kisses now. She also finally knows her sister's name! It often comes out as "Mia" so I think that will be the nickname that sticks. Olivia calls Emilia "baby", "Mia", "sister" and "abugabutaba". Not sure where the last one comes from...
